Melbourn Village College

The eighth college to open was Melbourn in 1959.

It served the far south-west corner of Cambridgeshire and the villages of Barrington, Fowlmere, Foxton, Great and Little Chishill, Harston, Hauxton, Heydon, Melbourn, Meldreth, Newton, Shepreth and Thriplow. When it opened it had 320 pupils.
