For most of us in Cambridgeshire, village colleges are part of everyday life. We go there to learn by day and in the evening, or to make use of the facilities.

But did you know that these village colleges were a thoroughly Cambridgeshire invention inspired by poverty and need almost a century ago? And that they inspired educators across the country, and around the world?

We’re going to look at how Cambridgeshire’s Village Colleges, truly groundbreaking institutions, have, for decades, touched tens of thousands of lives to become central features of our communities.
